Wahey, my favourite kind of post is back! I think I was saying in my last 'he wears, she wears' how much I love doing them because it's a lot more fun (read: less awkward) prancing around in front of the camera when you've got someone else to do it with. However, Rob overtook me in the 'I'm a natural at this shit' this time ranks, and was pulling out all sorts of Blue Steel poses. Damn that little model.

IL2L kindly sent Rob a leather jacket to try out, which came at the perfect time as he's been deliberating for ages whether or not to branch out from his beloved harringon and buy one. Turns out it was a big hit; once we got the initial identity crisis out the way - 'I don't look like a T-Bird, do I?' - he absolutely loved it. He's a right suave little bastard and knows exactly what he likes when it comes to style, so for something this different to his usual look to get a thumbs up is groudbreaking. I, of course, just whapped on my All Saints leather baby and was happy.

I'm off to Edinburgh for some gal-pal time with my Mum today and we're looking for somewhere to eat for both tonight and tomorrow, so if anyone has any hidden gems they'd like to share please let me know!

I posted this outfit on my Instagram a couple days ago and a lot of you were asking where everything was from, so I thought I'd put together a little blog post. Unfortunately a lot of the items are now sold out, so I've linked some alternatives below if anyone's trying to find something similar - just click on the image to be taken straight to them!

Everything I'm wearing is from Warehouse

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you'll already know that I'm representing Warehouse at Company magazine's 'Bloggers Style the High Street' fashion show in October, where I'll be styling the collection as well as doing a social media takeover. I'm so excited to be part of it and that I can finally reveal what's going on! There's a little feature about it in this month's Company magazine, so if you fancy finding out a bit more about it and seeing which blogger is styling which high street store, as well as how you can get your hands on some tickets to the event it's all in there!

Me and Rob were invited down to Edinburgh yesterday for the H&M store re-launch (more to come on that on Sunday!) and when I woke up that morning I was greeted with THE most unpredictable weather ever. Within the time I'd taken to eat my breakfast I'd seen gale force winds, torrential rain and blinding sun - how on earth you go about dressing for that I do not know. I decided to compromise and dress for summer on the bottom half, Winter on the top half. Turns out it was absolutely boiling in Edinburgh and I ended up wandering along Princes Street a sticky, sweaty mess. Well, my top half was at least; my toes got a lovely breeze to them.

In other news, as you may already have noticed from the photos, I dyed my hair a little darker this week. It looks a lot more purple in these photos than it is in real life, so hopefully you'll be able to get a better idea of what it's like in coming posts! I also took my nose ring out on the same day - so much excitement for a Tuesday, I tell you - after a turbulent year together. Who knows, maybe I'll come back in my next post with a new face or something.

P.S. Please excuse the crinkles in my trousers; these photos were taken after a three hour car journey. Not pretty

Alexa Chung for Nails Inc

Alexa Chung for Nails Inc 4Alexa Chung x Nails Inc review 2Alexa Chung x Nails Inc review 1Alexa Chung x Nails Inc review 3

Blessed with nice hands I was not; they're more like paws. I feel like I should just get that out of the way before I commence with this review, almost as an apology if you like.

Me and my Mum were down in Edinburgh for a girly couple of days last weekend to celebrate her birthday, and on the Sunday we had the girliest of girly days. I'm talking lunch at Harvey Nichols, cocktails, shopping - you name it - and so to complete this day of ladylike-ness, we headed along to the Nails Inc bar in Harvey Nichols to get our nails done and have a glass of champagne. I noticed the Alexa Chung for Nails Inc range had just launched, so made a beeline for that. Mainly to have a little perve over her campaign photo, I'm not going to lie, and I was so busy checking out her make up that I almost missed out on the fact she was lying on a bed of kale. Mental.

There's six colours in the range, all of which are inspired by different fabrics. I spent ages deliberating between them, tempted just to go for my usual black, but decided in the end to go for the 'Alexa Silk' as a base, finished off with 'Alexa Sequins' on top. Queen Chung herself said, 'My favourite polish is Sequins. Often I dress relaxed and in a tomboy kind of way, so it's nice to have a little disco on my nails', and I can only agree - I do like dressing like a boy, but there's no better feeling than looking down and seeing some sassy-ass nails on your fingers.

I deliberately waited a week to do a review of the polish so that:
a) I'd know if I only loved it so much because I was drunk on two glasses of champagne (turns out I still love it when I'm sober, so we're ok).
b) So that I could show you how well it lasts - six days on and it's still going strong! The first photo is obviously the day I got it done, but the last three were taking this morning and, as you can maybe see in the photos, there's only one or two chips in it, which happened yesterday when I being slave driven by - I mean helping out - my Mum to move boxes to her new house. So, all in all, it's lasted amazingly.

The polishes are £15 each and you can check out the full range below by clicking on the photos. I ended up buying the 'Alexa Lace' as well so I'll maybe pop up a little review of that too if you liked this one!

Me and Rob were invited down to Edinburgh on Thursday by H&M for their store re-launch, so I thought I'd put together a little photo diary of our day. The main store on Princes Street will now be stocking all of the special collections (hallelujah!), so to celebrate the re-launch they had mocktails (best ones I've ever had; I lingered around the bar like a modern day Oliver waiting for them to make more), hair styling booths, manicures, close shaves for men, and DJ's dotted throughout the store. After a good browse of the store, which is looking b-e-a-utiful, we both picked up some amazing bits - how suave is Rob's trench?! - so we nipped out to Princes Street to snap some photos with the beautiful Balmoral hotel as a backdrop.

After that we headed out to get some Italian food at Amarone which is just off of George Street, I'd definitely recommend it if you're ever down that way, and then headed home just in time to catch the incredible sunset going along the Forth Road bridge.

Thanks again to H&M for having us down for the day!

ASOS Fashion Finder recently sent over a big bag of Wildfox goodies and challenged me to put together two Ibiza themed looks; one daytime, one night-time. As you can probably tell if you've read my blog for a while, 'Ibiza style' isn't really something I'm all that familiar with, but I do like a good challenge. I'm not sure I'll be incorporating neon pink into my day to day wardrobe any time soon, but if I was on an Ibiza beach... with a tan... let's just say things might get very fluorescent, very quickly.

Check out the full feature, as well as my second look, here.

Although I'm determined to get as much wear out of my summer wardrobe as possible before Autumn well and truly takes over, the great thing about this set is that I can still wear it to lounge around the house in once the weather turns because it's So. Comfy. I do love a good multi-purpose item.

It's nine days now until I head to Tenerife and I'm literally counting down the minutes until we leave. Come at me sun! I'm on the hunt for the perfect sassy pair of sunglasses for a bit of a change from my usual Ray Bans, so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! Sassy really is my only requirement.

I'm away down to Glasgow this weekend for my pal Jen's engagement party, but I thought I'd put together a little post this eve so you don't miss me too much (anyone? No? Oh thank god, there you are Mum). I wore this outfit a couple of days ago to go into town holiday shopping - have I mentioned I'm going on holiday yet? - and grabbed the shirt as I was leaving from my brother, which turned out to be a god-send because I sat on some sauce during lunch. Wearing white jeans, I sat on some red sauce, yes. What a big, walking rom-com cliche I am.

Anyway, moving on... I bought the most amazing polish in Topshop yesterday, so I've got it on (see it here) and I am ready to pardddyyy. Now I just need to find something to wear - safe to say I've got my priorities right.

I've managed to put together an outfit that you can buy almost NONE of online, so I do apologise for that. If you follow me over on Instagram you'll already have seen a little sneaky peek of these shoes, which are one of my best bargains yet. When I was down in Glasgow at the weekend I noticed that Urban Outfitters had reduced everything in their sale to £10, so I ended up walking away with these badboys as well as a pair of £180 jeans for a grand total of £20. Eat yo heart out David Dickinson. They've got an online offer on just now as well; if you use the code 'YEAH50' at the checkout you can get an extra 50% off all sale!

When I put this outfit on I knew that I wanted to pair it with this amazing cowhair bag my Mum bought at one of the market stalls when we were down at the Edinburgh Fringe, so I sneaked into the house and pinched it this morning. I'm practically doing her a favour wearing it in, anyway. Well, that's the official party line and I'm sticking to it.

Topshop Festival Inspired Look

Topshop recently challenged me to put together a summer/festival inspired look so, since the weather's been veering towards the Autumnal recently, I decided to go down the festival route. Well, day one of the festival when you're feeling fresh and actually put some effort into the way you dress in case you bump into Paolo Nutini in the crowd (you want to look your best when he proposes, obviously). Topshop's been one of my favourite shops since I was about fourteen and discovered that there was life outside of Primark, and I know I can always go in there and find something I like, so I was excited to get cracking.

The past two festivals I've been to I've opted for chunky boots and just kept my wellies in the tent as a back-up - thankfully I didn't need them either time - because I find them a bit comfier to wander around in. The particular ones I'm wearing are now sold out unfortunately, but I've tracked down some similar pairs here, here and here. I always tend to team my boots with black skinnies, but this time I upgraded a bit with this pair here that have the most amazing zip detail and, added bonus, are also extremely soft and stretchy; forget the usual constraints of skinny jeans, you can jump around and crowd-surf to your hearts content in these. No festival look would be complete without a bit of fringing, which is where this striped top of my dreams comes in, as well as a good pair of sunglasses. I finished off the look with this incredible necklace, which looks like it's straight out of a Bollywood film. It's a lot more versatile than you would think and looks especially good paired with plain tees, the perfect all-rounder.

Add a leather jacket to this skinny jean look - a la Alex Turner - and you're ready to go.

Week in Pictures

As much as I love a good outfit post, I thought I'd introduce a new ´Week in Pictures´ style feature so that you can find out a bit more about what I´ve been doing other than buying shit. Here's what I've been up to this week...
WeekinPictures 5
Headed down to Glasgow on the train for Jen's engagement party and admired the beautiful views along the way. The guy opposite me thought I was staring at him which was incredibly uncomfortable for everyone involved.
WeekinPictures 3
Made like my ten year old self and started taking 'Eye Selfies' again. Patent pending.
WeekinPictures 4
Embraced my inner child and gave myself some sassy ass giltter nails. It´s a mixture of a Nails Inc matte blue polish and this Topshop glitter polish.
WeekinPictures 6
WeekinPictures
On Tuesday I went down to St. Andrews for the day to model for Scaramanga. We did the first part of the shoot in Crail which is one of the most picturesque places I've ever been; it looks more like Spain than Scotland (shame about the baltic wind). If you ever visit make sure and get a lobster roll - or even a whole fresh lobster if you're feeling crazy - from the little shack at the harbour.
WeekinPictures2
Tried out the new Bare Minerals foundation in their beautiful store in Buchanan Galleries, where it's exclusive to until the 4th of September. It's been 20 years in the making - now that's dedication - and uses the bare minimal of ingredients possible and combines mineral foundation with brightening serum. It was applied with their new face perfecting brush (which is amazing) and you apply it one drop at a time until you get the coverage you're after. I honestly couldn't recommend it more, I think I´ve mentioned before how hard I´ve found it to track down a good foundation and this one ticked all the boxes. It´s incredibly lightweight whilst still giving good coverage, and gave my skin a really nice dewy glow as well. It comes in 20 different shades as well so you can get a perfect colour match, which is something I also really struggle with having abnormally pale face-skin. There´s a really nice relaxed, welcoming vibe in store and they also do loads of tutorials if you fancy learning a bit more about make up. The amazing Paula did mine and she was absolutely incredible (and like a little genius make-up encyclopeadia), so if you're a bit shy then make sure and ask for her because she'll put you at ease with her loveliness and give you a thorough education at the same time.
WeekinPictures1
A couple of photos from around the store, if my bag was bigger I'd have pinched one of those chandeliers.

Arrived in Tenerife on Friday, wahey! I've got a couple of posts scheduled for when I'm away, but I'll be posting regularly over on my Instagram so you can also follow me there for updates!

Let me know what you thought of this kind of post and if it´s something you'd like to see more of! Over and out.

There’s nothing I love more than a good jumpsuit; I’m pretty clumsy so the fact that you can move around and bend down to your hearts content without having to worry about flashing your buttockios to the world greatly appeals to me. This one caught my eye firstly because of the amazing colour (despite my penchant for a good bit of monochrome, I can’t resist blood orange) and secondly because of the unusual shape. Rob – who normally hates it when I wear culottes, ‘please stop dressing like Will.I.Am’ – has even given it the ok; I think the fitted bandeau top balances out the billowing cullotte-y mass at the bottom quite nicely. My brother, who’s another hard nut to crack, has also given it the seal of approval, dubbing it my ‘classy Mad Men outfit’. All in all a crowd pleaser it would seem. You can find this little badboy here!

Beautiful Bottoms

Um, hi. My name’s Amy and I've got a pyjama addiciton. I can’t go into Primark without buying a pair, and it’s now reached the stage where my pyjama drawer is fuller than any other area of my room. Which is saying something. Despite this, I’ve always wanted to invest in a good pair because, as much as I love my novelty ones, they wear and tear so quickly that I end up with saggy knees and a hole in the crotch after a month. Saucy. So, when Beautiful Bottoms sent me this amazing carnival pair I felt like I’d discovered a little slice of Heaven. They’re incredibly comfy - 100% silk I’ll have you know – and the print lifts my mood every time it catches my eye. It’s funny how a little bit of luxury can make you feel all sassy inside, like how I’d imagine a Bond girl to feel. Well, how a Bond girl would feel if she ever wore jammies, but you get my drift. Beautiful Bottoms also do underwear and swimwear; in fact Meg did a post with their underwear my GAD did she look incredible, so if you want to see what it looks like on check her post out here.

Thank you, Beautiful Bottoms, for opening my eyes to a whole new sassy pyjama experience.

Honey, I'm hoooome! I had the most amazing time away, and finished it up yesterday with a boat trip to see dolphins and whales (pity the crew kept such a close eye on you or I'd have been right in there). I'll put together a little post soon about the holiday, but for now I thought I'd put together a swimwear edit, because it's one of the things I've been asked about most. I always find swimwear incredibly hard to get right, so I've rounded up my favourites to hopefully help you lucky ducks who've still got a holiday to look forward to. Maybe you could.. take me in your case as a thank you? Whatever, I don't care. Please?
Wildfox tiger print silver bikini
Wildfox silver tiger print bikini

This saucy little number is the most recent bikini I've added to my collection and I absolutely love it, both for the fit and the detailing at the back. It goes a really nice shimmery colour in the sun too, which left me staring at my crotch in awe on many an occasion. Downsides? The cups comes up a bit on the small side so I'd recommend sizing up in the top. You also get some pretty funky tan lines, but they're worth it in my eyes for the sheer beauty of this set.

photo (30)photo (19)photo (18)photo (16)
Triangl Finn Rockerbird, Winnie and Arizona sunset bikinis

Along with 99% of the Instagram community, I'm a massive fan of Triangl. Their bikinis are so different to everything else out there thanks to the mix of prints, textures and colours they use. I think the Finn Rockerbird is my favourite (you can't tell so well because the photo's black and white, but the top's orange and black mesh and the bottoms are silver - Rob calls them my 'space pants'), but the Arizona Sunset also holds a special place in my heart because it was my first one and because it goes even more neon when it's wet. Downsides? They can get a bit sweaty; scuba material + a beating sun = things getting very intense, especially in the cleavage area.
photo (11)546
Seafolly Bellarose halter bikini

My old faithful, I don't think I'll ever be able to part with this one. I'm wearing the halter version (there's lots of different variations in this print), but I've wrapped the straps around my bosom in an attempt to avoid tan lines. The fit's amazing, as is the support - a good one to wear if you're going to a water-park, or even for a good swim in the pool. Downsides? None. Well, it's faded a little, but that can only be expected when you wear something 56708 times.
Missguided tropical kimonophoto (23)
Missguided palm print kimono

This kimono was my little saving grace this holiday. One of my pet hates is having to get dressed every time you want to nip to the pool bar/supermarket etc, especially if you're a bit sweaty, so this was perfect to throw on and it's made of nice, light material too. Even Rob got in on the action (don't click on that link if you have a sensitive stomach). Downsides? It's long, very long. Good for people with cankle issues.

So, there we go - my favourite swimwear picks. I hope this helped some of you and, equally, if you have any favourites of you own you'd like to share, please leave them below!

The Thursday before I left to go on holiday marked a sad day for me... it was the day I finally admitted that Autumn was here to stay. I had my denim shorts laid out all ready to wear, and then when I woke up the rain was hitting the window so hard that I thought I was being attacked by a hundred children with peashooters (yes, I live in the Beano). Thankfully, Jigsaw have got A/W transitional dressing covered, not least in the form of this polka dot dream, so I quickly swapped out my shorts for jeans and I was ready to go-go. I really liked it on the website, but I love it even more in real life – it’s incredibly soft and hangs in the way that no shirt has hung before (maybe we should get a room?) and, perhaps best of all, it really reminds me of the kind of thing the Chung would throw on and look incredibly cool in. I think it'll be a great layering piece for colder days, but for the moment I've chosen to wear it on its own in the hope that a last glimmer of sun will appear. To keep with the Autumnal theme I paired the outfit with some suede ankle boots and finished it off with a little leopard ponkysin belt, because for some unknown reason I feel like A/W and leopard print really go hand in hand. Maybe because leopard looks so good with plum, black, and the usual array of colours in Winterwear's palette? One of life’s great mysteries.

Despite the initial depressing tone of the post, I'm secretly a little bit excited for the cold days coming in – hot chocolate, layering, the return of Cheryl Cole on my tv.. Winter brings so many great things with it that it'd be rude to knock it completely. Jigsaw have also got an amazing blue fur coat hitting the site just in time for Winter, so make sure and keep an eye out for that because it is an. absolute. BEAUTY.*

I'm not normally one to put myself out there like this, but here goes... Dear tan, please never, ever leave me; I need you. There, I said it. I actually think I might be a little bit of a tanaholic, which I admitted to Rob late one night and he just kind of looked at me with a knowing yet sympathetic look on his face. It would appear my bargain finding skills aren't the only thing that leave me akin to David Dickinson.

Anyway, before this turns into a full blown therapy session, I should probably go on and talk a little bit about what I'm wearing. I picked up this skirt in the Zara sale just before I left for my holiday, having searched high and low for something that had the illusion of sleeves wrapped round the waist but wasn't too... mannish. I should have known good old Zara would come up trumps. Generally I've been wearing it with slouchy t-shirts, but since me and Rob were heading out I thought I'd dress it up a bit with this cropped jumper from Topshop. What? No... I didn't even realise that I'd be accentuating my tanned belly by doing that.

Oh My Love neon strapless dress | Missguided neon platforms | Primark straw clutch (similar, but better, here) | Topshop coral pendant (old, similar)

No, your eyes do not deceive you; I am actually wearing an outfit made entirely of colour. Normally on holiday I'm happy to go out in the evening in my denim shorts and a slouchy tee, but since it was our last night and we were going out for a fancy meal I thought it'd dress up a bit. Plus, it'd be rude to deny my tan at least one chance to wear neon brights. Maybe the heat went to my head, I don't know.

My Mum bought me this yellow beauty as a surprise just before I left, knowing how much I enjoy a good bit of colour on holiday, and it was a happy surprise that it ended up being a perfect match for the Missguided heels. The dress does't have a zip fastening or anything, so if you're in between sizes then I'd recommend sizing up or you'll risk getting your head stuck in there forever. I decided I wasn't wearing quite enough colour, so popped on this Topshop necklace - which I've had forever, till death do us part my old friend - and this little turquoise straw clutch.

...Yes, straw. I made sure to indulge in every single holiday cliché possible.
