An almost summery outfit today with a hint of 'I'm absolutely freezing', thanks to my trusty oversized scarf. This little top from Girissima's been answering my summer dressing prayers because it's so easy to throw on, but it does make me feel a bit sad that I'm not going to any festivals this year because I think it'd be perfect. The jeans have also been amazing as I normally really struggle to find a pair I like but I love the wash and fit of these ones (I still have to roll them up, but I think that we've established that - with these legs - I'm stuck in a perpetual state of rolling up-ness). They're also incredibly soft which makes a nice change; a day long hug for my legs.

Ooh-er! Your eyes do not deceive you, I am in fact beauty blogging. I'm always asked about my daily make-up routine, so I thought a review of this liner would make a good place to start because I've been using it every day since it arrived. I tend to be quite loyal to my eyeliners; I used the Collection2000 liner from the age of fourteen until just a couple of years ago when I made the switch and started swaying between Benefit's 'Magic Ink' eyeliner and Bobbi Brown's gel liner. This liner arrived a couple of weeks ago and, although I do feel guilty for my others, I've been using it ever since. It's a gel liner in a pen (innovative, eh?) and the tip is flexible so you can get right in at your lashline, making it easy peasy to draw a catflick on with. It's also waterproof and the best testament I can give it is that it was still perfectly intact when I came out of 'The Fault in Our Stars'. There really is no higher accolade an eyeliner can be given, is there? Once you do which to take that flick off, there's a 'They're Real!' remover, available which - I can confirm - removes it in a single wipe.

Well, apart from the word liner no longer looking like a word, this was quite fun. I could get used to the ole' beauty blogging game.

So, here I am, firmly in my comfort zone. This is pretty much my go-to outfit on days when I'm feeling a little confused (read: lazy) deciding what to wear. Cos are the best when it comes to creating the perfect white shirt; how they get it so soft and yet so crisp I'll never know.

I'm feeling a little delicate today - yes I got drunk off of two glasses of champagne, no I'm not proud - so I think it's time to retire back under my duvet and spend the night watching Friends re-runs on tv. Now if someone could please bring me a bucket full of carbs that'd be great.

When I was down in London a couple of weeks ago I nipped in to see the new Free People showroom which, FYI, is absolutely beautiful (check it out) and, after a tea and a catch up with the lovely Lisa, I had a good wander around and checked out the A/W collection. Everything's so beautiful, and they've also got their first full range of footwear coming next season which is pretty special (including a yummy pair of tan multi strap ankle boots). I was lucky enough to take a couple of pieces home with me at the end of the day including this shamazing dress - which Poppy D-D-Delevingne also has, so I'm in good company.

I'm known in my family as 'the bag lady', to the extent that you'd think it's the name I'd been christened with. From going home to visit my Mum, to business trips, to going away with Rob I'd say about 70% of the time I'll be carting about a big overnight bag as well as my handbag; so when this Grafea bag arrived a couple of weeks ago it was like all my Christmas's had come at once. It's hands down the girliest thing I own and I think that's one of the reasons why I like it so much. That and the fact it reminds me of a big piece of lego. I own a couple of different Grafea bags now and I really can't fault the quality of them; the leather, the way they're made, the size.. it's all gravy, so if you're after a camera bag, a rucksack, a holdall or just a nice leather all rounder check 'em out!

A little while back I came home to a lovely surprise parcel from Monica Vinader which, under all it's beautiful wrapping, contained this beautiful rose gold friendship bracelet. It was love at first sight; simplistic designs and rose gold-edness are the way to my heart. Then I noticed that they'd engraved it with 'The Little Magpie', which I think might just be the sweetest touch ever. Good job MV, you devils. They can engrave both pendants and necklaces, so if you're looking for a personalised gift they're definitely one to keep in mind!

Me and Rob are down in the borders for a wedding this weekend and this is what I chose to wear travelling down on Friday. Big. Mistake. It was 23 degrees and we were in the car for four and a half hours; the layering, the black soaking up all the heat through the windscreen... it was all too much. Anyway, once we got down the wedding was amazing. It was a really small, intimate ceremony and the weather behaved itself, the bride was bella, everyone was merry and the whole thing looked like it'd come straight from a beautiful pinterest board. Dynamo was there as a guest and I had to work very, very hard to hold it - it being my shit -together. I'm literally the biggest fan out there; the only person who's ever made me feel the same 'anything is possible' way is Santa. If you follow me on Twitter you might remember me tweeting a couple of weeks ago that if he ever did a trick on me I'd die happy there and then, so when I walked in and saw him there I thought I might be sick, or cry. Turns out I did cry later on when he did some tricks (not sorry) so my estimations weren't wrong. So, an amazing wedding, a selfie with dynamo and getting to be part of one of his tricks... what a weekend.

I'm off to have another cry.

It would seem midi dress are like buses; I've been on the hunt for the perfect one for a couple of months to no avail and now I'm seeing ones I love left, right and centre. I limited myself to buying two; one navy and one black. Ok, ok, this one in cobalt as well. But I've been wearing them all the time and - added bonus - they make me look a little bit taller, so I've managed to justify it in my head. Please no one tell me otherwise.

Here I am, wearing varying shades of white as though that's not the most terrifying prospect in the world for me. I felt I owed it to the sun rather than wearing my usual all black, but - as I've mentioned before - white's a risky game for someone who hasn't managed once to eat ice cream without spilling it. 

I was having a bit of a rubbish week last week, so my Mum took me out for a big fat scone and some retail therapy, treating me to these boots along the way. How amazing are they?! I couldn't believe they were New Look, they wouldn't look out of place in Cos or somewhere along those lines. Good job guys, good job.

Whee, I'm so excited about this post, I think it's been one of my favourite outfit posts to work on this year. All Saints is literally one of my all time favourite clothing brands, especially their leather jackets (if you've been a reader for a while you'll have seen them pop up in one or two wishlists), so I'm over the moon to be the proud owner of one of my own. I really have been taking the proud owner role very seriously; it stays in it's box unless I'm taking it out for a little sniff of the leather - weird? Maybe - or until days when I'm feeling courageous enough to wear it out. It is obviously a more expensive piece, but the quality is incredible; from the buttery leather (that honestly does smell like heaven by the way), to the chunky silver zips, it's got it all, so if you're looking to invest in a long-term partner... I mean, leather jacket. then I couldn't recommend a trip to All Saints more. 

On another note, their summer sale finishes at midnight tonight so if you're looking to snap up any last minute bargains now's the time!

I think I mentioned a little while ago that my Mum pointed out how often I dress like Russell Brand, and never has it been more apparent than in this blog post. I found this shirt in the H&M sale last week and couldn't resist; what you can't see is that under the jacket it has big, puffy sleeves which make me feel a bit like I'm a character in a period play (or, indeed, Russell Brand) but I think that's why I like it.

In an exciting turn of events, me and my Mum are looking to book a last minute trip to New York this September/November, so if any of you have any hotel recommendations that are nice but reasonably priced please send them my way!

It's my lovely mamma's 50th today and I'm literally just running out the door to her meal but I wanted to get a quick post up to show you what I was wearing today and also to show off this beautiful bracelet from Lolu Rhoda. I've been wearing it ever since it arrived; I love how sparkly it is (staying true to my magpie name here) but how easily it can be dressed down too. As well as being one talented sista, Tiwa, the designer, is also just the loveliest lady in the land so make sure and give her jewels a wee browse.

I picked up these trousers from the Topshop sale a couple of months ago after pining after them for ages, although I think this might be the first time they've actually featured on here. They're not for everyone - my Mum said they look like trousers she used to wear to work back in the nineties (so rude. She's lucky it's her birthday and she can get away with saying things like that) - but I think they're amazing.

All my family came up this weekend for my Mum's Birthday Celebrations: Round 2, so I donned my Sunday (Saturday) best and we all went out for an amazing meal, which I'm still full from today. Three birthday meals - and three birthday cakes - in three days is all fun and games until you try to get your jeans on at the end of it all. This Dahlia dress is one of my go-to's for fancy occasions; actually, as are these River Island platforms since I bought them a few weeks ago - so this might be a bit of a predictable outfit, but I'm ok with it if you are.

Anyway, I better run because we're all away out for afternoon tea. I kid you not.

For me, dungarees are one of the best things to whap out in summer when the weather starts to pick up; they're so easy to throw on over bikinis, t-shirts, shirts... you name it. Speaking of summer dressing, me and Rob go away on holiday exactly a month today so I'll need to get my butt in gear and start picking up some clothes. I'm not going to lie, bikini shopping and the thought of having to prance about in next to nothing in only a matter a weeks makes me a bit sick in my mouth . Plus, my flatmate's just asked me the dreaded, 'Two for Tuesday?' question, and I was raised never to say no to anyone offering you pizza. Oh Victoria Secret models, tell me your secret.

My Mum and brother jetted off to Paris yesterday for a long weekend - whilst I'm stuck back here working on some projects - so I think I might subconsciously have dressed in stripes as a sad little tribute to gay paree. On the upside, it was Rob's mam's birthday yesterday so we headed out to an amazing tapas restaurant and I drowned my Paris-related sorrows in goats cheese and basque chicken. Life seems so much better when you've got a full belly (and some prosecco) in you.

I'm going to film a couple of YouTube videos this weekend, one being the British Tag that the lovely Leanne tagged me in, but if there's anything else you'd like to see please let me know!

Ahh, sunny days and Free People - a finer combo you'll never meet. I've been waiting for an occasion to wear this dress since I picked it up from the showroom a couple of months ago, and then finally this morning I woke up and thought, 'SCREW IT, I'm doing it. I'm putting it on no matter what I end up doing today'. Carpe Diem and all that. It is pretty see-through so I had some trouble deciding what bra to wear with it, but in the end I went for an obvious one rather than trying to find a perfect match; let people think I'm making a statement rather than knowing that I was really just confused. 

I filmed my British Tag video today when I was over at my Mam's house (look how shamazing the view is there) so that'll be up tomorrow! I'm back home now and me and Rob are both nursing baby hangovers from a night out last night, so we're going to have a duvet night and watch some Harry Potter. My kind of night.

As the end of summer approaches, I finally come to the realisation that black isn’t actually the only colour in the world. What am I liiiiike. Still, I've still got my trip to Tenerife at the end of the month to look forward to (a two-weeker nonetheless) and Missguided have kindly let me pick out some pieces, so I've got an amazing, multi-coloured holiday wardrobe to take with me. I’m sure come the end of September I’ll be back to my usual monochrome get-ups, but this little summer fling with colour’s going to be grand; I can feel it in ma bones.

I haven’t been to Tenerife in ages, so if any of you have any restaurant recommendations or things we should check out – we’re in the south – please let me know!

I got this Missguided tank over a year ago and it's still one of my favourite pieces now when I'm just looking for something to throw on. I love that it's a bit longer at the back because it gives your boot-ay an air of mystery (and by that I mean hides it when you're having a... spherical day). The eagle eyed among you might also notice that I'm wearing hoop earrings for a change - I used to wear them every day back in school until that bitch Gretchen Weiners tried to get in on the action I kind of grew out of them, but recently I've taken to wearing them again because, well, everybody deserves to feel like Jenny from the Block once in a while.
